For anyone who has never employed a professional Private Investigator you may understandably have reservations about integrity and professional ability. Your decision on who to instruct should be a very careful consideration. Do not just rely on ambiguous unverifiable reviews or assertions.

What you should consider:

  • What is it that you require?

  • You should check & confirm source of experience. A 14 day course can not teach experience.

  • Who has the appropriate expertise to deliver on that requirement?

  • Who will endure arduous routine tasks such as  full Covert insertion?

  • Will your money ensure constant 'eyes on' over many hours? (breaking even for a few minutes introduces the possibility of unseen subject movement/departure and an expensive undisclosed loss for you.)

Are Private Investigations Legal?

All our investigations are  100% legal and are subject to the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) when acting on behalf of - Local Authorities, FSA, Fire Service, Police etc. Our Close Protection operatives are fully licensed under the Security Industry Authority (SIA.)

Profile Investigations have been providing professional services for in excess of 23 years. We have replaced old out dated procedures, used by many, with our own dynamic systems to ensure we remain a leader in service provision.

Is The Use Of Trackers Legal?

In a word - YES. Although there is no law against placing a tracking device on a vehicle there may be trespass issues to consider. However, it is our experience that the insurance industry for instance might regard such measures as intrusive and therefore we only deploy trackers in certain circumstances and only on the client's own vehicles for instance, or on our own vehicles while operating in teams. This enables swift relocation of team members when detached from lead vehicle during a follow.

Are You Experienced?

Are You Experienced?

Profile has many years experience in commercial investigations. All our operatives are fully front line SIA licensed and come from career served backgrounds, usually ex-Serious Crime Police Officers, or have served in the military with units such as the Special Air Service, Parachute Regiment or Royal Marines.

How Much Will It Cost?

How Much Will It Cost?

We offer bespoke solutions dependent on client requirement and budget. Remember the cost of failure due to instructing the wrong company is considerably diverse. A compromised surveillance operation will usually result in more than financial repercussions. We have the skill sets required and currently deploy nationwide on multi million pound fraud investigations. Clients would not continue to use our services if we did not consistently produce.

Every situation has different variables however by planning, based on information provided by you the client we envisage the subject of our investigation presenting within a certain time window. Our in house data searches may enhance intelligence gained ensuring we target the optimum window of opportunity. Five hours is therefore an appropriate period for the surveillance to succeed however whole day observation is more productive.

Do You Give Guarantees?

Do You Give Guarantees?

We can not give a guarantee that surveillance will be successful, after-all if the subject fails to present this would result in a, no fault, negative outcome. However, if we neglectfully cause a situation which results in losing contact with the subject, we will attend again at no additional charge until such time as a result is achieved.

(Conditional that client accepted recommended  surveillance profile.)

When Must I Pay?

When Do I Pay?

It is usual that we take payment in full prior to proceeding. If your instruction is received via legal representation, we will invoice them directly on 30 day terms.

Is The Fee Fixed?

Is The Fee Fixed?

In certain circumstances we may agree a fixed fee which will be confirmed in writing.

Will You Evidence Stand Up?

We are not only a local service provider but act on instruction from the insurance industry nationwide, providing  covert surveillance investigations. We provide full judicial support and have evidence presentation experience. Our evidence was recently withstood a challenge in court by a surveillance forensic expert, a settlement was achieved in favour of our client. On more than one occasion we have been commended by members of the bar on the quality of our video evidence and concise report standards.

I Want To Instruct You What Do I Do?

What Is Close Protection?

Who Need Close Protection?

Close Protection comes in many forms. Some clients prefer discreet protection while others relish the high profile. The rich and famous, celebrities and members of government are all at some time, either overtly or discreetly, under the protective umbrella.

However, the ever present and increasing threat of theft and physical attack in our major cities has brought with it an increase in such a preference to middle England, especially during festive seasons. Parents with concerns about their children's interaction on social media is another increasing mechanism for what we call  'Protective Chaperoning' measures.

Ils Close Protection Expensive?

What Does Close Protection Cost?

Close Protection is not necessarily an expensive measure in the main. We would need to listen to individual circumstances after which we would conduct a thorough risk assessment. Based on that assessment we would recommend a provision of service and scope of responsibility which if accepted would provide the appropriate manning level.

The risk assessment is extremely important and has additional considerations to a surveillance risk assessment in that there is a possibility of physical reactive intervention which means that a single operative may not be sufficient.

An appropriate profile might be:

  • Personal Protection Officer. (PPO)

    • Responsible for the evacuation and personal body protection of the principle, (client.)

  • Close Protection Officer. (CPO)

    •  Responsible for dealing with or delaying any hostility.

Close Protection comes in a number of forms: Discreet, Overt or Reactive. What we do not provide is 'a heavy' to fight peoples battles in nightclubs. Close Protection is not for everyone and having led an international team based in Spain & the UK for a well known football celebrity prior to his move to the USA, we are aware of how intrusive some might view 24/7 coverage.

Please refer to our Protective Services page to understand our C.P. provision. All our operatives are cross trained in Surveillance, (as described in answer to Q 'are you experienced') and close protection therefore they are fully licensed to instantly change posture, when required, from Covert Protective Surveillance to Reactive Close Protection.

Close Protection due to its very nature is primarily a preventative measure and we rely on clients understanding of our minute by minute risk assessment. Whether provided for adults or children, decision making and preventative measures are the key. Please call for a free, no obligation, confidential consultation on this matter or simply fill in the card below in the first instance if you prefer.

Can I see recommendations?

NO. Private Investigations is what it says 'private' and somewhat of a veiled industry. Recommendations, published, or otherwise may cause clients some upset and are in any event open to manipulation in order to self promote a company, (silently received - silently achieved.) We provide total confidentiality for our clients although insurance companies, corporate businesses and law firms have from time to time, albeit privately, commended us on our results and professionalism, it would be improper of us to publish such information. However, numerous accolades of our founder from corporate clients and security industry associates confident enough to be named, may be openly viewed on our linked in profile. https://www.linkedin.com/in/profile-investigations/ Special Forces background proof/authentication may be provided on request.
