LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Case Studies

This particular local government requested our assistance in mitigating an ever growing fraudulent injury claim culture. We rotated four private investigation surveillance teams in the area maintaining a presence over a three year period. All cases were potentially high value and our  98% success rate was of great benefit to our client. Below are just a few of our successful deployments for this client.

Result:

Mr. G was offered a settlement by our client which he rejected. After the resident judge had reviewed our video evidence Mr. G was told to pay back the substantial interim payment and his claim is voided due to evidence proving fraud. In addition, Mr. G was told the video footage would be forwarded to the Department of Work & Pensions. Our clients barrister commended our video evidence and concise reporting.

Result:

A Surveillance trained Police Officer was placed under long term surveillance. The planning,  preparation and execution of this assignment demanded special consideration due to the officers training. A favourable result was achieved which exceeded our clients expectations.

Result:

A difficult nut to crack. This extremely surveillance aware claimant constantly monitored his surrounds, even when away from the area of his home. He would closely scrutinise vehicles in the vicinity before proceeding out of car parks, for instance. With his face pressed up to the side window of one of our vehicles, he failed to locate the operative secreted within. The rotation of teams over a period of days was pivotal in maintaining a covert posture and achieving evidence which assisted our client.

Result:

There are many areas of the country which require additional care when deploying. One such area, known for everything from anti-social behaviour to serious criminality meant our task would be difficult to achieve.

On more than one occasion our operatives, merely by the intimidating presence of persons believed to be protecting their criminal domain, were encouraged to depart the area, on occasion under loose escort.

An unconventional approach and detailed risk assessment would be required on this occasion: having identified the home of the subject of our investigation and a motor vehicles attributed to that address a plan of action was formulated. Mapping showed the only location from which the length of the street could be monitored was  some 2,323 metres away with a long look across a major waterway.

Attending some days later from a distance of 2,323 metres, the subject was identified exiting his home and departing in the motor vehicle previously attributed to his address. Our operatives were triggered to move to pre-determined locations from which the subject vehicle was discreetly and successfully followed. This achievement attracted particular accolade from our clients.
